The Yorkshire Dales National Park is situated in North Yorkshire and part of Cumbria. Dry stone walls enclosing sheep and cattle, twisting roads along side steep river valleys and high moors created by ice age glaciers are typical of this highly picturesque area. While you are there make sure you try some of Wensleydale Creamery's award winning Jervaulx Blue cheese. For those with mobility difficulties, the Settle to Carlisle steam railway is a great way of seeing the moors and villages. The whole area is a photographers paradise. What ever your interest you will be thrilled with the Yorkshire Dales.
