Lisburn is a city in Northern Ireland split between County Antrim and County Down around the River Raglan which marks the county boundaries. The name is combined from the townland Lisnagarvy whose name in Irish translates as fort of the gamblers and the Ulster Scot word burn meaning stream. Lisburn is slightly unusual as it is surrounded by rural farmland whereas most cities tend to be urban. The city itself is quite small but the council area is made up of Moira, Glenavy, Dunmurry and Drmbo. The Irish Linen industry was first established in Lisburn in 1698 by Huguenots, today the old Market House hosts the Irish Linen Centre and Lisburn museum with displays of the history of this linen industry
